Jury Rules In Jimenez Case

Here is some follow-up about a recent case in Florida. I wrote about it in July. The headlines went something like "Hospital deports brain-injured illegal immigrant patient" which has to be the worst PR ever. Everybody was a loser in this scenario. After Luis Jimenez was hit by a car in 2000, no one would take him off the hospital's hands. They were on the hook forever financially until the hospital figured out a way to ship him back to his home country. The case finally went to court and......the jury ruled in the hospital's favor. This could not have been easy to decide but I agree with the decision. The media, however, did not shower the headlines again with a follow-up about this decision. I wonder why? Could it because the hospital wasn't deemed the bad guy in this situation? My hunch is that if Jimenez won then there would have been a lot more press. They sure are funny (read: biased) that way.
